Ivana + Jan { Beautiful Maui wedding Elopement at Ironwoods Beach and Lava Rocks}

When Ivana and Jan got engaged in Italy, they didn’t rush to plan their wedding and definitely wouldn’t have predicted their Maui elopement. However, Jan was offered a job in San Francisco and the couple planned to move there from Prague. Before moving, they wanted to go on a nice vacation and chose Hawaii as their destination. It wasn’t long before they started joking that Maui would be the perfect place for romantic I Dos.

They had just one month to plan their spontaneous elopement, and after finding their ideal minister in Ernest Pua’a (Da Barefoot Warrior), Jan and Ivana decided to plan everything themselves. There were some twists and turns, being especially stressful when Ivana realized she didn’t have the six months required to order the dress that she loved, but in the end, everything turned out how it should. Ivana was so stylish in her two piece ensemble and unique jewelry, while Jan looked super dapper in his fitted blue suit and amazing beard.

Jan and Ivana approached me because they wanted something different from the typical beach wedding, which of course, I was totally game! Though we started the ceremony on the beach at Ironwoods, much of the session took place on the dramatic lava rocks. At first, they confessed that they were very shy and never thought they looked good on camera, but I thought, “what?!” They are stunning and soo in love that I almost didn’t have to give any direction at all. Ivana and Jan were so sweet and loving to each other, just being themselves, it was so charming to capture!

Maui Honeymooners Hawaiian Wedding Celebration at Ironwoods Beach

Ahhh sweet young love! There truly is nothing like it in the world. Rachel and Scott were actually on their Maui honeymoon when they decided to celebrate their union Hawaiian style with Reverend Pia Aluli at Ironwoods Beach. No big dress or fancy decorations were needed… with the sun reflecting on the bright blue ocean and two leis that symbolized their commitment, these sweethearts radiated giddiness and affection. After the beach, we ventured to the nearby Honolua Bay Forest (West Maui Forest Reserve) for dreamy forest scenery. Their happiness was infectious and gave me the warm fuzzies.
