“I hope you find the kind of happiness that exists on your own terms. I hope you truly take the time to figure out what moves you, what you deeply crave from life, and I hope you have the courage to chase that. I hope you have the courage to believe that you are deserving of everything you desire. You have a fire inside of you — I hope you never let convenience, or comfort, or the easiness of standing still put it out.
I hope you find the kind of love that makes you a softer person. The kind of love that makes you want to be a better man or woman, the kind of love that believes in you and supports you, that stands by your side. I hope you find someone who quickly becomes your favourite thing — someone who makes the fall less fearful, someone you can’t help but choose every single day. I hope you find someone who shows you just how deeply you can feel, just how deeply you can love. I hope you find something real, because nothing is more beautiful than loving someone who loves you back. Nothing is more beautiful than loving someone who builds you a home in their heart”. @rainbowsalt
Take me back! to this early breezy morning light at beautiful Dt Flemmings Kapalua ! We had the gorgeous secluded beach and then forest for ourselves and explored around there.
Brina and Tom’s sunrise engagement session was truly amazing. I had so much fun photographing this couple on such a beautiful morning! We really got lucky with perfect weather and beautiful lighting, I am totally in love with these photos and so excited to finally share them!
When we arrived at Baldwin beach it was completely free of people which made me so happy! I love when my couples get to share a private moment on the beach and play around in the water without a care in the world! Capturing their snuggles and splashes made my day, these two were incredibly easy to photograph because their love really shined through. I am so happy to say that I get to photograph this awesome couple again in just a few months when they tie the knot at Haiku Mill here in Maui! I can’t wait to share the rest of their amazing love story!
Honeymoons are the best ever for wild loving adventures with your Bae. Its for time to take your time to enjoy all the just got married happiness and I just can’t get enough. Just add up epic vacation views in one of the most lush landscaping that Maui has to offer and the result its just stunning imagery for this modern romance.
Hawaii has random bamboo forest all over the islands its hard not to be enchanted by this magical always amazing Jungle. In love with these rad Lovers Gabrielle and Stephen couldn’t take their hands of each other and I just got all the feels. Nothing can make you feel more alive than an epic kiss under a glorious waterfall… it just takes my breath away . Enjoy!
Karen and Kenny and very dear friends of mine, so this wedding is close to my heart. Since the moment we met and Karen saw my work, she told me the day she gets married, she wanted me to capture her happy ending. A couple of years passed by, and now they are about to leave for Portland after a long life here on Maui. They wanted to get hitched to have this lasting memory to treasure forever, so they called me and my heart was so full of joy for these two!
An amazing backyard wedding celebration was planned, and before the ceremony, we stopped by some meaningful places for them. Karen’s dad worked for many decades in the sugar company so she definitely wanted to have that as part of her pictures to honor her dad. Kenny and Karen often take walks on the beach with their beloved dog Seven, who is such a charm, so the beach had to be included also.
They say less is more, and it overwhelmed my heart how minimal yet so beautiful this ceremony was, they made each lei to perfection with natural elements from their ohana and it was just the perfect touch of magic for upcountry Maui. Kenny built the bench for their family to sit and be surrounded by the mystic mist and fog and the gorgeous view. I am so happy for them and couldn’t believe how precious the moment was for the intimate celebration.
To celebrate this past Valentine's Day, I wanted to spread the love by giving away a free one hour photo session for a lucky winner and their Valentine. I asked my Facebook and Instagram followers to enter and had my son help me randomly choose a winner on Valentine's Day.
Chyna won the photo shoot for her and her love Eddie. We went to Old Maui High, one of my favorite places to shoot when I want to focus on capturing emotions. They were such a cute couple, so fun to work with!
If you're not having your wedding in Hawaii, the next best thing is to honeymoon here... and then have your photos taken, of course! Katie and John came from the concrete jungle of New York to soak up the sun on their Maui honeymoon. A wonderful friend of theirs actually gifted them with this honeymoon session - such a thoughtful idea that will always bring back memories of their special time here. (Everyone should be so lucky to have a friend like that, don't you think?)
