Jenna + Riley { Beautiful Upcountry Maui Engagement session}

The more time I spend my days in this island that I call home, the more I come to realize I must have definitely be daydreaming, every single part of this land  is just so beautiful it takes your breath away, in this majestic upcountry setting of Maui is where Jenna & Riley chose for me to capture their story, they didn't to fly to Maui for some new fresh inspiration to be the backdrop of their engagement session. Even greater was my surprise when I got to meet them and spend time talking like we were long time friends. They were such kind and down to earth people and just star talking of all the wonders of living in Hawaii. I was so excited i got to meet this amazing people before shooting their wedding in Oahu where they live.

Even though they chose the mountain and fields for their pictures once they drop me back where I parked my car and said our goodbyes, I couldn't help to notice this big Hawaiian mural and really wanted to hit the click button with them in the middle, I was doubting myself if i should walk back to their car and ask them for one more picture!, silly me I always go for one more shoot!. Once i Send them their gallery Jenna wrote me back that it was such a blessing to get those shoots with the mural, and confess it's being a long time hobby for Riley to take pictures of them and became very fond of the photograph. I'm so glad I listen to my heart!

Kate + Evan { Whimsical Maui wedding destination at Gannon's Wailea }

Theres not enough words to describe how in love and breathtaking this couple's love is what fascinate me about each and every single client that contacts me is that I get the most rad kind hearted people in the world and I'm the luckiest one to be chosen to tell their story. This amazing power mom and entrepreneur base in Canada {who happens to be one of the owners of super cute chic organic baby clothes at Teepeetots&co - Miloh rocks them oh yeah!} had in mind the most intimate yet whimsical and dreamy Maui destination wedding and don't get me start on the Vera Wang dress... Im so happy beyond words to let her vision came to live in my photographs.

From the bride:

'Angie....

I am just in awe right now. I can't even put into words how amazing these images are. You did a beautiful job and are so talented beyond words. I adore you and adore the efforts you put into capturing and editing these. Evan and I can't thank you enough for capturing all these images for us and our family. Just breathtaking beyond words. It was so easy working with you in the coming months. Even though we had never met before hand, I felt like I knew you and you made Evan and I feel so comfortable. I can't even express the happiness we feel right now. The wedding day went by so quickly but this is amazing for us to sit, enjoy and re live every moment captured that day. Just so amazed right now. I'm going to shoot you another email once I can thoroughly explain the thankfulness we feel towards you. Thank you and I hope that you and Miloh are keeping well'

Camping-Themed Maui Maternity at Baby Beach {You Are Our Greatest Adventure}

This week, I wanted to share the maternity shoot of my friend Fawn of Maile Maui Weddings, who is expecting her baby boy next month! In planning this session, Fawn wanted to include personal inspiration, so I asked her if would write a guest post to explain.

From Fawn: "As a wedding planner, I'm lucky to be friends with some very talented photographers. Angie and I instantly hit it off when we first met, and since we've known each other, we've always talked about babies. Angie is a wonderful mommy and I love hanging out with her and cutie pie Miloh. When my husband and I found out we were expecting, I knew Angie would be the perfect person to capture this exciting time for us!

Kai and I have been together over 10 years now and are super excited to be taking this step into parenthood. I really wanted our photo shoot to be about us and our relationship, cherishing this time as we prepare for our son's arrival."

"The original plan was to have an earthy maternity session in the forest, but it ended up being rainy and actually a little cold for the outfits I brought that day. Wanting me to be comfortable, Angie was more than happy to reschedule, but on our drive home, we saw this amazing rainbow and had to take advantage. You can't plan rainbows and we were at Baby Beach, which was quite fitting!

I had a few different ideas that I wanted to include and Angie was so receptive in helping me make it all happen. Since our first date was a camping trip, I wanted to incorporate a makeshift tent. Our wedding theme was beach meets the forest, so I kind of went back to that feeling when picking out the materials for the haku lei that Angie made --> DIY tutorial here.

After over two years of marriage, we finally watched our wedding video for the first time. We had recorded secret messages to each other and completely forget what we said. At the end of my message, I talked about being excited to take on this adventure of life together, and this inspired me to think becoming parents will be our greatest adventure yet. We, well mostly my husband, made the sign and it will go in our baby's room. We also had to include the cute little baby booties we bought from an alpaca farm while on our honeymoon in New Zealand."
