Chanel + Aslam {Romantic Andaz Maui beach wedding elopement by Mokapu Beach shores}

As much as I love all the gorgeous details of a big, fancy wedding, there is something so personal about an elopement. Since the minister and I are often the only witnesses, this makes my job extra important. I know all the couple's loved ones are anxiously awaiting any photos of the special day.

As soon as the name Chanel pop up in my inbox I was seriously intrigued by, I love fashion and couldn't hardly imagine how much Classic Glamour will this stunning bride bring to my eyes.

Chanel and Aslam were really sweet I had an amazing time capturing how charming they were to each other. Being behind the scenes, capturing them getting ready together, felt like a glimpse into their home life and I can tell they are going to have an awesome marriage.

Jannae + Garrett {Colorful North Shore Engagement Session}

California cuties Jannae and Garrett had already reserved me to capture their wedding on the west side, so we wanted to do something pretty different for engagement photos. I proposed the north shore for some fun colors.

First, we went to Baldwin Beach, then we stopped by Paia Bay for this fantastic wave mural I love so much. I’ve always wanted to photograph people on it and well, they just fit the bill! Next stop was beautiful Hookipa Beach. The tide was very low so we were able to see a different view than usual. We ended in Paia town with some yummy shave ice.

It was awesome getting to spend so much time with Jannae and Garett before their wedding. I loved all the wardrobe changes to fit each scene… it was definitely a great preview of their fashion sense. Stay tuned for their gorgeous wedding!

Ivana + Jan { Beautiful Maui wedding Elopement at Ironwoods Beach and Lava Rocks}

Ivana + Jan { Beautiful Maui wedding Elopement at Ironwoods Beach and Lava Rocks}

When Ivana and Jan got engaged in Italy, they didn’t rush to plan their wedding and definitely wouldn’t have predicted their Maui elopement. However, Jan was offered a job in San Francisco and the couple planned to move there from Prague. Before moving, they wanted to go on a nice vacation and chose Hawaii as their destination. It wasn’t long before they started joking that Maui would be the perfect place for romantic I Dos.

They had just one month to plan their spontaneous elopement, and after finding their ideal minister in Ernest Pua’a (Da Barefoot Warrior), Jan and Ivana decided to plan everything themselves. There were some twists and turns, being especially stressful when Ivana realized she didn’t have the six months required to order the dress that she loved, but in the end, everything turned out how it should. Ivana was so stylish in her two piece ensemble and unique jewelry, while Jan looked super dapper in his fitted blue suit and amazing beard.

Jan and Ivana approached me because they wanted something different from the typical beach wedding, which of course, I was totally game! Though we started the ceremony on the beach at Ironwoods, much of the session took place on the dramatic lava rocks. At first, they confessed that they were very shy and never thought they looked good on camera, but I thought, “what?!” They are stunning and soo in love that I almost didn’t have to give any direction at all. Ivana and Jan were so sweet and loving to each other, just being themselves, it was so charming to capture!
