Maui Destination Wedding

Crisna + Brandon {Wedding at Olowalu Plantation}

I was thrilled to see Crisna and Brandon's tropical wedding at Olowalu Plantation featured in Pacific Weddings because I know what a labor of love this day was. Crisna was an organized bride who was excited to plan their special day, an intimate celebration inspired by the natural beauty of Hawaii and her favorite flower, the protea. She contacted me early in the planning process, so we became close as she would bounce ideas off of me.

I was honored to witness the beginning of a lifelong marriage and even got to spend extra time with these newlyweds for a jungle trash the dress session at Twin Falls, which you can see here.

Pamela + Joerg {Maui Northshore sweet intimate elopement}

I absolutely love my life here in Maui, but I do miss my Peruvian culture since I live so far away. Bride Pamela is also from Peru and living elsewhere, so we bonded immediately over our mutual homesickness and of course most important the Food! We were a wonderful match made in heaven, both loving Ceviche more than anything in the world! Well besides our beloved ones ;)

With the help of Maui’s Angels Weddings, Pamela planned every moment of her intimate elopement at Mama’s Fish House Beach to perfection, creating a ceremony inspired by the traditions of Hawaii and the colors of Maui. Minister Laki was chosen to officiate and he made this cute multicultural couple shine and laugh so much during the entire ceremony, making my job so much easier. After Pamela and Jorg said I Do, we did some playful shots cruising around Paia and ended the session with a romantic champagne cheers at the amazing cliff house in Haiku where they were staying.

From the Bride:

"I remember looking for weeks and even months at hundreds of pictures in internet, searching for my wedding photographer and suddenly I found the most beautiful ones taken by Angie. She was my favorite! Icontacted her and what a surprise to know that she was born in Peru... same as me! She sent me a very long Email with all kind of suggestions and ideas and it was for me clear that she would be our photographer on such a special occasion. We kept sending Emails for months and she was always so kind to answer all my questions and give me good advice about everything.

During the ceremony she was there…but somehow invisible …like a butterfly flying around us but without interrupting the ceremony. After the ceremony we had our photo session in different places; some of them very romantic others very fun and she made us feel very comfortable. I even remember her climbing a Palm tree in order to capture the best angle for the picture!

I have seen a couple of our photos and I couldn´t be happier! She is a real artist! They are amazing! I can´t wait to see the other ones!

I would highly recommend her to anyone! She is the Mario Testino of Hawaii!
Gracias Angie!"

Kayla + Braden {Hawaii wedding Elopement at Whimsical Haiku Mill in Maui}

Kayla and Braden's wedding was my first of 2015, and it sure was one to remember! They decided to have an intimate elopement at the glorious Haiku Mill located on the northeastern coast of Maui. The former sugar mill was transformed into a lush, dreamy property that combines Old Hawaii with glamorous French touches and is consistently ranked as one of the top venues in the U.S. and the entire world. If you want to get married with just the two of you in grand style, this is the way to go! I'm so thankful to be on the Haiku Mill's exclusive list of photographers and hope you can sense my excitement of photographing these sweeties on their special day.

Kayla and Braden came all the way from Canada and were ecstatic when they saw Haiku Mill in person. They couldn't stop smiling and looked like little kids at Disneyland, like this was the happiest place on earth. It was so fitting because Kayla loves the French aesthetic. Braden even pointed it out when they were getting ready saying, "Babe, this looks so much like your place." When couples are this in love, stoked on their venue, and proud of all their wedding details, it gives me butterflies and makes me feel so fortunate to be the one who captures the breathtaking moments of the day.
