Lisa + Matt {Dreamy Pastel Oahu Destination Wedding at The Modern Honolulu}

Lisa and Matt were a gorgeous, charming couple that decided to gather all of their closest family and friends for a destination wedding in Oahu. The color palette was soft and pretty, perfectly complimenting Lisa’s beautiful gown. I was especially excited to see the flowers since Passion Roots is an exquisite Oahu florist who always does exceptional work.

The couple chose The Modern Honolulu as their venue, which lives up to its name as a sophisticated urban resort in Waikiki. The celebration was joyous and fun, but a little bittersweet since it also was a farewell to everyone before they moved to Japan for Matt’s military career.

Matias + Sarah { Romantic Modern Bohemian Maui Wedding Inspiration }

The gorgeous of Maui hidden secret treasures are endless, what a better way to showcase a dose of inspiration for all those amazing couples looking to get lost in a tiny island in the middle of the ocean. Maui has so much to offer and even the most regular local roads are such an amazing backdrop for anything you can think of.  That's why I was thrilled when my beloved friend Vanessa from Delaluz Photos who was visiting us from Texas for the holidays, I met her in a photography Workshop in Joshua tree California last year. She asked me to create an spontaneous last minute epic editorial shoot to top off the last day of her trip with some colorful Hawaii bridal inspiration. What better models than Matias and Sarah from Nvmauimedia ,This stunning couple live in a constant honeymoon mode Its always a thrill to have them in front of a camera. I got to snap some shoots while accompanying my beloved friend. I am a firmly believer of comunity over competition and it's always so inspiring to see people who you admire work from behind. I am always beyond thrilled to play around with flowers also witch I crafted for this inspiration shoot just for fun 🥂👌🏽, I'm so in love with the elegant and romantic haku and floral bouquet , keep being inspired and do what you love.

Tara + Keith {Epic Day After Wedding Maui Love Session at Nakalele Blowhole}

This next session is very special to me. Tara and Keith are Canadians who are the loveliest, most humble couple on earth. Their spirits are so genuine and it was a privilege to photograph not only their wedding but their next day as newlyweds together.  

Their wedding was at the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea, so Tara and Keith trusted me to show them somewhere completely different! I took them to Nakalele Point. The rugged, boulder-filled landscape makes the ocean look even more beautiful and blue. The cliffs provide an amazing view and allow me to get all kinds of angles. Plus Nakalele Blowhole and the rock with the heart cutout are the cherry on top.

We hiked for 2 hours around the blow hole to get there and soaked up every second of Maui goodness. They loved being somewhere new and were pleasantly surprised because this scenery brought back fond memories of another special time when they got engaged in Iceland. They had no idea such similar magical environment existed here on Maui. Couples who are open to my wild ideas and let me unleash my creativity are my favorite!
