Feminine + Floral Maui Maternity Baby Moon at Kula Botanical Garden

I can’t even begin to tell you what a joy it was to work with Jeannie! She was truly so sweet in every way and her husband was also very noble and kind. Once again, I was blessed with the most amazing clients as they traveled to Maui for their baby moon.

Jeannie is a super talented makeup artist in LA, so of course, her makeup was exquisite and she is wonderfully creative. Since she adored the idea of doing something feminine, we went to Kula Botanical Garden, where they could be surrounded by gorgeous flowers! Jeannie custom created her dress with a friend and asked me to craft the playful crown of pink peonies for her. I wish we lived closer so we could work together again, but I am grateful I got to spend this special time with this lovely growing family.

Colorful Family Session at Keawakapu Beach Maui

If you've been following my work, you know how much I adore color. So, of course, I was happy to see this family dressed in different colors and patterns for their family photo shoot at Keawakapu Beach on Maui's south shore. They didn't worry about being too matchy-matchy, but with mother/daughter and father/son in complementary colors, it all worked without being too forced.

In fact, that's also my style -  I don't like posing too much, especially with families. It works better when everyone is being themselves, having fun and not thinking about the camera. That's when all the happiness and love shines the brightest. My favorite part of this session was really seeing mommy Jennifer so happy. I know how challenging life can be as a mommy myself and how you may not feel very glamorous at times, so I took the opportunity to give Jennifer a little spotlight. Every mommy deserves a special attention, don't you agree?

Kayla + Braden {Hawaii wedding Elopement at Whimsical Haiku Mill in Maui}

Kayla and Braden's wedding was my first of 2015, and it sure was one to remember! They decided to have an intimate elopement at the glorious Haiku Mill located on the northeastern coast of Maui. The former sugar mill was transformed into a lush, dreamy property that combines Old Hawaii with glamorous French touches and is consistently ranked as one of the top venues in the U.S. and the entire world. If you want to get married with just the two of you in grand style, this is the way to go! I'm so thankful to be on the Haiku Mill's exclusive list of photographers and hope you can sense my excitement of photographing these sweeties on their special day.

Kayla and Braden came all the way from Canada and were ecstatic when they saw Haiku Mill in person. They couldn't stop smiling and looked like little kids at Disneyland, like this was the happiest place on earth. It was so fitting because Kayla loves the French aesthetic. Braden even pointed it out when they were getting ready saying, "Babe, this looks so much like your place." When couples are this in love, stoked on their venue, and proud of all their wedding details, it gives me butterflies and makes me feel so fortunate to be the one who captures the breathtaking moments of the day.
