Xuewei + Lao {Maui Vacation Westside Adventure}

Xuewei and Lao came to Maui for a friend's wedding and decided they couldn't leave without documenting this vacation in a very special way. It's such an awesome idea - to remember the beautiful places you've traveled to by getting your photos taken... plus your local photographer will probably be able to show you locations you wouldn't have gone to on your own ;) 

They wanted a bunch of different backgrounds, so we did the extended love tour with the mountains, lovely Olowalu, and the amazing Ironwoods. So fun that they decided to glam it up and Xuewei rocked two flower crowns I made. 

Kayla + Evan {Endearing Makawao Forest Engagement Session}

Kayla confessed that she is camera shy and because of that, she and Evan don't have many pictures after all their years together, so we did some engagement photos before their wedding later this year. When people tell me they are not used to the camera, I tone down the poses, back away, and let their true love shine through. Being up in the Makawao Forest Reserve amidst the fresh air and peaceful scenery, these two lovebirds were so sweet. I was honored to be the one to bring them out of their shells and can't wait to capture their big day!

Jannae + Garrett {Colorful North Shore Engagement Session}

California cuties Jannae and Garrett had already reserved me to capture their wedding on the west side, so we wanted to do something pretty different for engagement photos. I proposed the north shore for some fun colors. 

First, we went to Baldwin Beach, then we stopped by Paia Bay for this fantastic wave mural I love so much. I’ve always wanted to photograph people on it and well, they just fit the bill! Next stop was beautiful Hookipa Beach. The tide was very low so we were able to see a different view than usual. We ended in Paia town with some yummy shave ice.

It was awesome getting to spend so much time with Jannae and Garett before their wedding. I loved all the wardrobe changes to fit each scene… it was definitely a great preview of their fashion sense. Stay tuned for their gorgeous wedding!
