I am a very emotional human I crave and want to capture more emotion on my pictures coming across showcasing amazing wedding that never saw the daylight because I got too busy just shooting , here is the gem for you all this adorable and intimate elopement , and oh so memorable to me I feel we all cried at certain point with the groom a photographer crying the most and I am here for it. Amazing love the kind of love that gives you goose bumps, every touch every smile every feeling it was just  an overjoy day and the fact it was just for us the privilege of being third wheel sometimes pays of I’m so grateful this kids brought me up into their day I remember it like yesterday.

We started at their Airbnb, in my opinion the best option if you are planning to elope specially in Covid times when everything is still funny around and just general is makes best of your time together, no waiting for valet parking no waiting for elevators to come get you, no random tourist taking pictures and stopping you to chat about your day , you will not believe how fast this epic day goes through your eyes and just tackling downs the distractions to take away the focus on you both its just my favorite , creating or making that solitude in paradise happen I stay away from crowded places and thats what attracted my couple and why people loves what I can create I search for that time and moment alone when I know what you only want its 100% feels. Hope you enjoy this heartfelt Maui elopement every story its so breathtaking and unique so honored to be there for sweet Laura who gives me the biggest hugs I can still think about and funny John with his unconditional love for his Bride. In love with the path where life has taken me.

On Maui, the Road to Hana is a popular drive and for good reason. However, Kahekili Highway (Hawaii State Highway 340) is a road less traveled that also provides lovely scenery and challenging driving conditions. The road goes around the rugged northern tip of Maui from Kapalua to Wailuku. Although it’s paved, the road features narrow passages around blind hairpin turns where there are rocks on one side and a sheer drop off a cliff (often with no guardrail) on the other side. Simply put, it’s not for the faint of heart or nervous driver, but it is worth it!

One of the biggest reasons to drive Kahekili Highway is to visit Nakalele Point, best known for the blowhole that shoots seawater up to 100 feet in the air. There is nothing like getting sprayed by water that brings out your inner kid. Having just enjoyed their delightful Maui destination wedding and now on their honeymoon, Gina and Aaron were the happiest people in the world anyways. Seeing them in this natural atmosphere amplified their playful spirits even more.

Ironwoods Beach is one of my favorite places to shoot. It’s a quarter mile long, covered in light colored sand, and usually uncrowded probably partly due to the fact that it doesn’t look like an obvious beach from the parking lot. A boardwalk surrounded by greenery runs above the beach as part of the Kapalua Coastal Trail. One of the best features is the lava rock cliffs overlooking the Pacific. With the wind creating movement and the waves providing contrast to the dark rocks, the cliffs become an awe-inspiring backdrop for those in love.

This next wedding was entirely planned around getting epic shots on the lava rock cliffs at Ironwoods Beach. Dana was looking for wedding inspiration on Pinterest and stumbled upon a picture of Ivana and Jan. She instantly fell in love with the place and decided she needed to have that picture for her own wedding! This set all the wheels in motion for a Maui wedding and led to them choosing me as the photographer to capture the magic. I worked closely with the bride to nail her style and the feeling of the day. We got the cliff shot that Dana fell in love with. We got in the car and drove down the road to finish the amazing day with beautiful sunset glare at Merriman's Kapalua where they were having dinner to celebrate their ever after!
