GLAMOROUS + ROMANTIC HAIKU MILL MAUI DESTINATION WEDDING IN HAWAII

Haiku+Mill+Luxe+Maui+Wedding

I had the pleasure of shooting Luchelli and Dexter’s epic engagement session just a few months prior to their wedding day, so I was extra excited to see these two tie the knot!  We started out at Haiku Mill to get ready and capture all the amazing details.  I absolutely loved the color pallet of this wedding, baby blues and the natural greenery of Haiku Mill were such a treat to photograph.

Luchelli and Dexter’s ceremony was held at the Holy Rosary Church in Paia, it is an amazing place covered in beautiful stained glass.  I loved shooting their ceremony there, the view of them at the alter is so gorgeous!  After the ceremony and group photo we headed to the beach for some epic ocean views while the rest of the party went back to Haiku Mill for the reception.  There was lots of traveling around to different locations for this wedding but it was so worth it and I love how much variety of shots we got!

We also took photos all around the Haiku Mill property because every area is just so gorgeous! We had so much fun with the photos and these two were amazing to photograph, I am wishing Luchelli and Dexter all the best on their big life adventure!

Kayla + Evan { Rustic Rainy Backyard Maui Wedding in tropical Haiku}

Kayla + Evan { Rustic Rainy Backyard Maui Wedding in tropical Haiku}

It was truly sweet to get to capture this lovely couple in their next chapter in life after  doing an engagement session a year earlier, it helped make them more comfortable with me before their big day (You can see it here) Because nobody anticipated the storm we were about to have in this rainy day!. Kayla and Evan planned a traditional church ceremony followed by a lovely laid back morning reception in her parent's backyard. The Haiku area of Maui is known for being wet, but we were especially concerned about the weather with Hurricane/Tropical Storm Darby approaching. Kayla and Evan decided to go ahead despite the heavy rain and mud, the ' for better or for worse ' part of the wedding vows were absolutely put to the challenge XD. They were incredibly calm, and I was really impressed with how Kayla took everything in stride and remained a happy bride. It inspired me to work even harder to give them the very best pictures. I got soaking wet and muddy. The conditions also created constant condensation in my lenses. However, in the end, it was all worth it!
